Abstract
Aimed at guaranteeing the safety of agricultural activities and water quality in Dongping Lake, we collected 15 soil samples from farmland soils around Dongping Lake in 2014, and investigated the heavy metal pollution. In this study, we analyzed concentrations of Pb, Cr, Cd, As and Hg, and used methods of comprehensive pollution index, geoaccumulation index and potential ecological risk index to evaluate the heavy metal pollution, finally applied surfer software to provide ecological risk partitions for the soil. Results showed that the concentrations of five heavy metals in soil were basically up to standard I~II class of soil environmental quality; Major enrichment matter was Hg with 2.50 of coefficient; Comprehensive pollution index was 0.41 at level 1 of pollution; Cumulative index was -1.23~2.63 at level 1~4 of pollution; Potential ecological risk index was 168 with a moderate ecological risk of the soil. Therefore, partition results showed that the ecological risk in northeast area of the lake was relatively heavy, which required a further investigation and disposal.
