Abstract
Field experiment was conducted to compare the effects of two kinds of soil conditioners on salinized fluvo-aquic soil physo-chemical properties, maize yield traits and economic efficiency. The result showed that both Mian Shengeng (hydrosolvent) and Hekang (hydrosolvent) soil conditioners increased soil organic matter, total nitrogen content and soil permeability significantly, but decreased water soluble total salt significantly. The two kinds of soil conditioners could prolong the growth period of maize, delay harvest period, improve yield components and economic traits. The two kinds of soil conditioners increased yield by 20.5% and 23.1%, and economic efficiency by 12.5% and 15.2% respectively. The Hekang (hydrosolvent) soil conditioner had the greatest effect on yield and economic benefit. Improvement effects by the two kinds of soil conditioners on salinized soil in Hexi region and maize yield are significant, which is recommended for extension to the local maize production.
