Research Progress of Forage Rape and Its Feed Value in China

Forage grass shortage is one of the main factors affecting the development of animal husbandry,especially the domestic livestock production."Double low" forage rape is the high-quality silage feed resource which has the characteristics of fast growth,high yield,higher feeding efficiency,and easy cultivation and extension.This review focuses on the application of forage rape in agricultural production in China,feeding value and applications in animal industry with an aim to provide a reference for the future use of forage rape in agriculture.
