Mechanisms of iron absorption and transport in rice: a review

  • 摘要: 铁元素作为水稻最重要的营养成分之一,在水稻整个生长和发育过程中都起着重要的作用。水稻根部吸收土壤中铁离子的方式包含机理Ⅰ与机理Ⅱ,这两种吸收方式是由多个基因共同调控完成的。多种基因参与铁离子的吸收与转运,包括上游基因OsIDEF1OsHRZ1,bHLH转录因子OsIRO2OsIRO3OsPRI1以及参与铁离子直接转运的OsIRT1OsVIT2等。高pH值的碱性土壤会显著影响水稻对铁的吸收和转运,研究碱性条件下铁离子在水稻中的吸收与运输有利于提高水稻耐盐碱性。本文详细阐明了水稻对于铁离子的吸收和转运机理,对当前所研究的起到关键性作用的基因进行了综述,并对未来研究作出展望。

     

    Abstract:

    Iron, as one of the most important nutrients, plays important roles in the entire growth and development period of rice.Studies have shown that two types of mechanisms (strategy Ⅰ and Ⅱ) are involved in the absorption of iron ions in soil by rice roots, which are jointly regulated by multiple genes.A variety of genes involved in iron ion absorption and transport have been reported previously, including upstream transcription factors OsIDEF1 and OsHRZ1, bHLH transcription factors OsIRO2, OsIRO3 and OsPRI1, as well as OsIRT1 and OsVIT2 responsible for direct iron ion transport.In alkaline soil with high pH, the absorption of iron is greatly affected, the study of the absorption and transport of iron ions in rice is also beneficial to improve the salinity and alkali resistance of rice.This review first summarizes the mechanism of iron ion absorption in rice and then reviews the key genes involved.
